In the following month, COMeSafety2 partners invite all interested stakeholders to join webinars on key steps towards deployment of cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems. The first webinar adressing ,Cooperative ITS Architecture' has just been terminated and will take place on

Monday, 11 June 2012
10.30 to 12.00 AM CEST.

On 26-27 June 2012, the results of the first large-scale European field operational test of advanced driver assistance systems will be made public. This event will take place in Brussels, Belgium and will be hosted by Autoworld, Brussels (BE).

This year, the ITS World Congress will take place in Vienna, Austria. The theme of the congress will be 'Mobility' specifically, systems for improving flow of traffic. Central subjects include IT-solutions that improve the efficiency and safety of traffic, how these solutions have to be networked, the responsibility of policies and future challenges.

Around 7,000 experts and participants will be discussing issues, how traffic can become

  • safer
  • more efficient
  • more sustainable

The Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT) will host this event and it is organised by ERTICO - ITS Europe, European Commission, ITS America and ITS Asia-Pacific. AustriaTech forms the program committee. DI Dr. Reinhard Pfliegl is chair of the event.

During the congress and exhibition days, the joint Driving Demonstration organised by CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium and TT Consortium is espected to capture great attention. Additional information to this important milestone to enhance acceptance and prepare deployment of cooperative ITS will soon be published.

The International Workshop on Vehicle Communication for Safety and Sustainability 2012 will take place in Vienna. Like last year, the organising project partners of COMeSafety2 decided to link this important yearly event to the ITS World Congress.

Therefore the VCSS Workshop occurs on:
